26 October 2015

Ramallah- Nisaa FM: Nisaa FM station had held a referendum on the violation of journalist's rights and abuse them from the occupation through its website http://www.radionisaa.ps/ar_page.php?id=1b4431y1786929Y1b4431

The centerpiece of the question was: what do you think of the violation of journalist's rights and abuse them”? It has carried three options:

An abuse to International Law.
War does not discriminate between civilian and military journalist.
I do not know.

The question has continued through the website for ten days, starting from 11th - 20th of October, this question resulted a variation in the proportions of answers, and was as the following:

In the first choice, which includes the option " An abuse to International Law ", number of voters for this option amounted to nine people, at a rate of 75%, while in the second option, which carried " War does not discriminate between civilian and military journalist " the number of voters through the website for this option were 3 people, at a rate of 25%, while the third choice, which is titled "I do not know," there were no votes for this option at a rate of 0%.

When we consider the analysis of these ratios, we notice that the number of people who choose the option that stated “an abuse to international law “for the violation of journalist's rights and abuse them, is the highest within vote choices, at a rate of 75%, which means there is a Palestinian awareness about international law and agreements that call for the protection of civilian people including journalists during wars and struggles.  In the second place of the analysis, we have the rate of people who clarify the violation of journalist's rights and abuse them that War does not discriminate between civilian and military journalist at a rate of 25%. Also, some people believes that in war conditions bullets and missiles choose to kill without being sure of the identity of other people wither they were civilians or militaries.
