Visit by the Palestinian-American Research Center’s Media Development Seminar
Today Nisaa FM hosted a visit by the participants in the 2016 Media Development Seminar organized by the Palestinian-American Research Center (PARC). The participants in the 12-day seminar are US media and journalism faculty members from various institutions who hold an interest in Palestine and wish to expand their knowledge of the region. During the 12 day seminar they will be meeting with Palestinian scholars, members of the media community and civil society, as well as visiting local media organizations and university media departments.
The participants in the PARC seminar visited the radio studio and had a chance to discuss with director Maysoun Gangat and music director Yazan Samara about feminism in the Palestinian context, Nisaa FM’s work and our tactics for empowering women and creating a more equal and inclusive media world.
