We begin in 2011 with enthusiasm and determination to make 96 NISAA FM the leading women’s radio station in Palestine, and we wish to offer all of our listeners and followers a year of exciting encounters and stimulating exchanges. Thank you for being part of our community! And please invite your friends to join us.
At the end of December 2010, six months after our official launch, we conducted our first audience survey in our coverage area, which indicated a very positive and promising trend. As a newcomer, NISAA FM compares more than favorably to those who have been on-air for longer. Following these encouraging results, we commit to increase the number of our listeners, the quality of our program offer and to amplify the impact of our message about social progress among men and women. In January 2011, we will hold our first focus group to assess how we are received among the Palestinian society in general, and what is expected of us from our existing and potential listeners.

While we strive to become financially independent through commercials and sponsorships, NISAA FM still has a long way to go. With our new coverage in the north on 96.2 FM, we project an increase in our audience. The Ministry of Telecommunications has been very supportive to our growth and development and we are grateful to them for their help.

As a project of the Smiling Children Foundation we are committed to enhance women’s participation and contribution in society by highlighting women’s achievements and aspirations and by providing a dynamic platform of communication, information and exchange. We invite you to be part of it!
